I remember as a kid, one of the things I most looked forward to were birthday parties. They always seemed like such a magical event! My kids also look forward to birthday parties each time we’re invited. We had a party last Saturday and spent a while looking for a gift before we settled on an idea. A’s friend loves to cook and bake. And while we entertained many different gift ideas, we finally decided while shopping in a little town that an apron would be the best thing. We high tailed it back to the quilt shop and bought this adorable cupcake fabric and set to work. We found a matching pink cupcake spatula to go with it, still kicking myself that I didn’t take a picture!
Having no pattern, I used my son to pull measurements because he was about the same size as the friend. Pulled measurements, cut the fabric and assembled! I was pretty proud of myself too because I finished the apron and two dresses for A in a little over three hours. Yup, I’m getting to know that I’m doing!
Supplies: Fabric by Moda, pattern (no pattern – just freestyle), Misc pink bias tape & thread
