Hippity Hop! Welcome to my stop on the Easter Color blog hop!! If you didn’t arrive here from Heather’s blog, then head on over to Jordan’s and hop through! (gotta say, an Easter blog hop is kinda fun, hopping bunnies, hopping blogs. Oy, I’m a bit silly today. Not sure if that’s too much, or not enough coffee…I can’t remember this morning).
Easter is a time of year we often associate with a variance of colors. Think about all the pretty dyed eggs. Lots of color and creativeness going on. Why not translate that color to scrapbooking!
Pink is one of my favorite colors. And boy was I happy when I had my little girl because I finally was able to embrace pink for a reason! No more being stuck with blue because I was the only girl in my house. It was now an even number. Watch out boys!!!! Pink is a coming!
I’ve been thinking for several weeks on what my page specializing in pink would be. I wanted something magical. Stunning. Spectacular. But all I had was a blank sheet of pink paper. Yes, a piece of pink paper sitting on my scrap table for more than a week. Nothing done. Of all the times to get a road block! Sigh. What’s a pink loving girl, who is feeling the pressure to do.
Why, shake it up and do something different of course. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the passenger seat of our truck lately, and since I had such a creative block with my pink paper, I thought maybe I should try some digital stuff. I pulled out the laptop and went to work. Now, I’m definitely, without a doubt passionate about my paper and glue. That will never change. But there are some times when digital is just awesome. And that is being able to recolor, resize and reuse elements in any way, without costing an arm and leg! Yes, I’m a budget scrapper. I’m not a tight wad (I do like to shop), but I like to make sure that I get the most for my dollar. Sometimes, with paper products, I find myself keeping my pages more simple for cost as well as it being my natural style. So digital scrapbooking gives the freedom for me to put as many layers on my pages as my little hearts content!!
So my captive time in the passenger seat led to a page bursting with layers. Hmmm….maybe I need to do more digital. 0Before anyone thinks anything about digital versus paper, I love to create digital pages that can be completely replicated in paper (and vice versa). It’s scrapbooking at it’s best, what it is really all about, the memories!

Supplies: Pink Paislee (from www.jessicasprague.com), Misc flowers & flourish (HA! How fun to use Pink Paislee products for a pink page….sometimes, I’m just so good! LOL)
Now I ask, what fun is a blog hop without a giveaway? Not so much I’d dare to say.
Just leave a comment telling me how you like to use PINK. I’ll draw a winner on Sunday. Included is some of my favorite pink embellishments. Label stickers from My Minds Eye, buttons, twine & ribbon, glitter glue and a set of stamps.
And now I bid you ado to Tenny, where she had the wonderful color of brown! Hop on over.

This LO is really pretty! I don't use much pink as I have 2 sons but I do like to use it on flower/garden pages and love/romantic pages and I think it works well with vintage photos too.
Wow! I didn't think you could do it (stray form your "simple" style!) Awesome job layering. She has such a delightful smile :)
Beth - I can do it, I love it....my inner cheapskate doesn't let me do it mostly because then I can only fit a few pages in my albums, when they get too thick. :$ LOL (But notice I still employed white space and lots of it :) )
Oh that lil gal def fits the "pink" category! She is too cute! I love your digi page because it almost looks real! I love pink for anything-- I hope one day I too have a little girl so that I can continue to use lots of pink on pages! :) Nice job Amanda!
Great page. At least you are early at posting. I still have to do my page.
I love the color pink! In fact, most of the cards I make have pink elements. I use pink in large amounts when making baby shower cards, but I found the color slowly seeping into my wedding invitations as well.
Gorgeous LO and gorgeous girl - great picture of her! I'm the only girl in a houseful of boys, so not much pink in my LOs but I do tend to use a ton of pink in the cards I make for my female friends/family!!
I simply love your LO, Amanda!!! Even though I am not a pink girl, I love that pp! The smile on your daughter's face is terrific!
love your LO & I am also a follower
Nice work! Love the layering at the bottom. It's been a while since I've seen a digi lo from you! Great way to pass the time in a passenger seat!
Loving the PINK! I love all the vintagey layers; it looks great!
Amanda, your LO is beautiful! I love how you clustered a lot of pink at the bottom and used two photos that are very similar (or are the exact same). I also love the top area where the words are barely seeping through the light pink. Great job! Thanks for playing!
It's a gorgeous page! Nice digi LO
Beautiful page. I love to wear pink. It's so kind to older ladies with silvery hair. LOL
I love to use Pink whenever I can. I would have chosen pink for the hop but you beat me to it. I like your flourishes & flowers. Very pretty LO!
A very cute pink page with just the right splash of colour!
Fun LO! And a digi one at that!! ;) I'm so not a pink person but I found myself using it a LOT on my DDs pages, especially in her first year album. Little girls=pink I guess! I used pink paper, pink ribbon, pink buttons, pink everything!
Great layout, you make pink look good. I'm a purple girl, but I find pink goes really well with purple. Thanks for joining in this hop.
Your LO is soooo pretty! Pink is and has always been my favourite colour. I laughed when I read the part about your having a daughter and being able to use pink. I thought that when my daughter was born. Turned out her favourite colour was blue. But our son liked red. Go figure!:D I use pink on anything I can get away with. I have cabinets full of pink dishes and glasses and serving pieces. It's everywhere in our house and I always feel a little prettier when I put some pink on. :)
Thanks for sharing your beautiful LO for your precious little princess! :) Happy Easter!
The pinks are so pretty and that picture is a perfect match for them. Nice LO!
You rock in pink! This is a beautiful layout, and the layering is exquisite. I love to use pink, too, and when I got my girl, I thought yeah! However, this child has not worn pink since she's learned the word "no." So to use pink in her layouts, I have to be pretty devious.
Ok I know I'm really late but I just wanted to tell you I LOVE your layout! That paper is gorgeous!!!! :)
PRETTY! happy easter!
