Valentines Day Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the Valentines Day Card Blog Hop!  We’re a bunch of friends who know each other from the Club Creating Keepsakes Message Boards.  I hope you are inspired by what we have to share today!!

I thought it would be fun this time to do a project with all the same supplies as a start off point.  So I sent off this little package of goodies to all our participants.  They were all given the instructions that they had to make a card and use half of the supplies.  However they interpreted it beyond that was up to them.  They could add stuff, but had to use half of what I sent.

Supplies:

  • rectangles My Minds Eye
  • bracket shaped die cut Pink Paislee (and Spellbinders die)
  • Twine The Twinery
  • Chipboard cuts with Paper Trey Ink dies.

I cut a matching heart in the front of the card and then put one of the pieces of patterned paper behind it.  Then I layered another heart with the other piece of paper, wrapped it in twine, and adhered another heart over top.

I used some of the left over pieces to decorate a bag I received with a purchase yesterday.okanogangirlbloghopbag

Now I can’t wait to see what everyone else did with the same supplies!  I have no idea, so let’s find out together.  I’m going to send you to Cassie but if you have any problems along the way, come back here to hit the next stop.

What a cute little bundle of goodies for the giveaway! I have no real preference for making cards---I enjoy them all!

Funny thing...I didn't receive any twine in my package. Oh well! But that's why you won't see any on my card!

Great card, I love all your details - simplicity at its best! I don't have a preference - I love making all cards, except maybe masculine ones! ;-)

Love your card and the bag! I don't make cards too often, but I have a friend who is a Stampin Up demonstrator and every so often we get together and do a big make and take with different occasion cards. Those are fun :)

Super cute card - and I LOVE the matching gift bag idea! Never done that before, but it's a great idea! I love making cards for just about anything...but I think it is kind of fun to make a card for just because - with no reason or purpose!

I love making Christmas cards. I have a lot of fun stamps and punches with a winter or Christmas theme so it's always fun to create cards. I especially love snowflakes and snowman images.
