I did this page with some pictures from our trip to Seattle a few weeks ago. I had this lovely paper from Little Yellow Bicycle and I couldn’t figure out how to use it. I’d stared at it for a while. Then I realized, DUH, I don’t have to leave the page intact. So I trimmed the birds off and they became the block of patterned paper there on the right.
A bit of ribbon and some Basic Grey letters and Viola!!

Great page! Really like your use of the bird paper, and thanks for sharing the idea. Love to hear about other people's "forehead slap" moments — always makes me happy to realize I'm not the only one who does it!
