Wednesday morning I was up before the sun to get things ready for Thanksgiving. (Although, I feel I should clarify, this time of year, the sun really doesn’t get up that early, so I’m not sure that is a worthy comment…..).
I happened to look out the window and saw an amazing sunrise. I quickly grabbed my camera to take full advantage of it. And I for once was amazed at the result! I learned a trick from the book I mentioned last week, Understanding Exposure. Unless shooting indoors, set your white balance to cloudy. Your pictures will turn out with an amazing warmth. (NOTE, this does NOT work indoors, the pictures will be way too red. Unless you shoot in RAW you won’t be able to fully recover the correct color).
And hopefully, when this auto-posts, I’ll be safely enjoying the Black Friday crowds! (Yes, I am really that crazy )
