Some Digi Love
I've been really having fun playing in my digital stuff. Here's a few pages I just wanted to share. (Yeah, they're both Aly - I try to balance girl/boy, just haven't gotten to Cody yet and I couldn't wait to share the page with the plum background -- I was so loving how it turned out)!

Fall Favorites
Thanksgiving is this week - must to my unbelief! How is it the holidays already?
My son has preschool tomorrow, it's just once a week and his teachers are volunteers. So, we made them a little yummy treat to say "We're Thankful for You." It's one of our fall favorites around here, Pumpkin Bread. Come August, on any given day, you've got a pretty good chance there's a loaf or two in the oven! And of course, we couldn't just give it to them without adding a scrappy touch!
Here's the recipe:
1 can 16 ounce Libby's pumpkin
1 cup honey
1 cup olive oil
1 tbsp vanilla
4 eggs
3 cups flour (or 2 3/4 cup whole wheat flour)
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
dash ginger
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
Mix honey, oil, pumpkin, eggs and vanilla in bowl. In separate bowl combine all dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until wet and even incorporated (don't overmix). Pour into two 8 inch loaf pans. Sprinkle sugar over top. Bake in 350 degree oven 60 minutes (test after 60 minutes, may take longer).
Keep checking back, - I'm sure to share more of my holiday favorite recipes & YES, I've written them all myself! If I wouldn't gain 500 pounds, I'd bake everyday!
And of course, it's Sunday, so here's my PAW:

Winter Wonderland
This isn't our first snow this season, but I did snap a picture.
I just love when the snow falls. The world seems to slow and it is so peaceful. I could hear the gentle thud of the snowflakes hitting the snow and hear the birds chirping, but the rest of the world seemed to fade away. I normally don't like to be outside, but I could have sat for hours listening to the peaceful silence of a beautiful snow.

December Daily
Ali Edwards created project where she took a picture every day during December. Then she made a neat album to capture the tidbits and moments of December. I thought it was a fabulous idea and wanted to do it as well this year. So here's my album that I'll fill as the month goes on. (sorry - no editing here - the pics are rough).

12 Days of Christmas

So I have this idea this year, to send a picture on a little mini card to the grandparents every day for 12 days right before Christmas. I plan to go to the Dollar Store (hopefully) and find an inexpensive photo holder wreath that I can alter to send with the first card. They can display all their goodies there. So I started tonight, mostly because I wanted to play with my new digi kit I bought from after five designs (awesome customer service BTW), darn, can't remember the name. But here's one of the cards that will go out (if I don't tinker with it more).

A Blustery Thank You
We were heading to town this morning. We passed by the Townsend Ranch as normal. But something caught our eye. I just had to stop and snap this photo.

They named all the veterans in their family as well as all those who have served our country and currently live on our road. I am always so thankful for the neighborhood I live in (the 20 square mile neighborhood), the country I live in and the people and families who sacrifice to serve and protect ME. I am truly blessed, an may they be blessed as well.
And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died and gave that right to me.
And I'll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
cuz there ain't no doubt, I love this land. God Bless the USA.
Thank you and God Bless.
