A random video of Cody & Aly:
So with one day to spare we decided to carve our pumpkins! Nothing fancy around here, just trying to make as little mess as possible! I let the kids go at it (I even game them the knife thing (much to Robert's shock!) They had fun, here's proof:

Calendar Creations! (if you're family, don't read this post!)
Check out this calendar I made:

The inspiration originally came from a kit I bought about a year ago. I hadn't finished it until last week. Then I showed it to my husband and he thought it was really neat, so I decided to make another one from scratch and share a video. I'm sorry, it is very long (20 minutes, I tried to keep it as short as possible!)
Below the video is the cut lists for the items needed:

Video Part 2:
Okay, sorry the last part of the video disappeared! Finish the calendars using the measurements provided, put them in the folders, then you get to take over and decorate!!! (I found that wallet size prints worked great for this project!)
14 pieces 2 x 11 (from 3 identical sheets of PP)
12 pieces 5 3/4 x 11 (from 6 coordinating pieces of paper)
14 pieces 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 (from 1 sheet of coordinating solid card stock)
2 pieces of 12 x 12 (identical patterned paper)
2 pieces of identical PP adhered and cut to 17 3/4 x 10
2 pieces chipboard 7 x 10 1/2
2 pieces chipboard 2 x 10 1/2
You'll also need:
Xacto knife
scissors

pen
1 1/2" circle punch
small corner rounder
Measurements for circle cuts (cut 4 each of):

at 2 1/4" to 3 1/2"
at 3 1/2" to 4 3/4"

3/8" in 1 1/2" to 3"
3/8" in 3 to 4 1/2"
Here's the links to the calendar downloads (remember you'll need 12 of the calendar & 1 of the year).
(sorry, you'll have to cut & paste these links to your browser window, I'm having technical difficulties! LOL!)

All Aboard! Come tour my scrapspace
I love looking at everyone else's spaces for ideas, both decoratively and organizationally. So, here's my space. It's pretty simple. I just have a corner/wall in my kids playroom. I really really enjoy having it in the same space as them. They leave my stuff alone (probably helps that I give them a lot of my scraps and stuff I replace, so they feel included). I love being able to work as they play, and I love giving them an art project to do as I do mine! It's great family time!
Okay, so I can't figure out how to embed it into the post, but here's the link:

Hope you enjoy it! Thanks! Amanda

A Journal & A Recipe Box
I've been inspired this week by the girls on the Message Board and I've been wanting to do some other crafty things besides Scrapbook pages, so here's what I've been up to:

I was inspired by something Erin Lincoln made on her blog this week, so I decided to try my own for my sister in laws birthday this week. She'll be 10, I thought this was right up her alley and perfect for school!
The inside...

The inside...Now, my other project
Alisonm was asking about chipboard recipe boxes and so I decided to make one. Here it is. I'll post a video tomorrow when I have better light.
Happy crafting!

Digital Fun with Creative Memories
Last week I received a special little box via UPS. I earned the Creative Memories Storybook Creator (digital scrapbook software) for free! I've had SO much fun this week playing with it since it is SO much more user friendly than the other program I've been using. I did all these pages in less than about 3 hours. Printed them off 8x8 and safely tucked them into my album! So happy with all I've done! Hope you enjoy!

Hope you enjoyed looking at these pages! Nearly all of them were done with elements that came with the software (Cody even made one himself - the "cake" one), or free downloads from different sites. But the best part is YOU can get your copy too! You can get it for free by hosting a show with sales reaching $400 - of which I'd be glad to help you out with - or by buying it from me for a savings of 25% (total would be $44.96+$9.13 tax & shipping). If you want instant gratifiaction (LOL!) you can purchase it online to download for $59.95. Order it from www.creativememories.com and when asked for your consultant list me - Amanda Sherman, in WA state! Thanks and happy clipping!!!!
Enjoy!!!!
